Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Re:visit. Humanities & Medicine in Dialogue is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Peer Review
All original submissions undergo double-blind peer review by two independent external reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Original submissions to the open section are sent for peer review only after the submission deadline has passed (usually at the end of the year). In cases of substantially divergent reviews, a third review may be obtained. The final decision is made by the editorial team. Editors who submit manuscripts themselves are excluded from the review process.
Responsibilities of Authors
Original submissions must not have been published previously and must not be under consideration by another journal. In all types of contributions, all sources must be properly cited. All listed authors must have made a substantial contribution to the manuscript and approved the submitted version.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct are unacceptable. Manuscripts may be screened for plagiarism and will be rejected if violations are identified.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Open Access and Copyright
All articles are published Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain full copyright. The journal does not charge any submission, publication, or access fees.
Corrections and Retractions
Where necessary, Re:visit will publish corrections or retractions and follows COPE recommendations in handling complaints and suspected misconduct.
GenAI Policy
The use of generative AI (GenAI) to create or substantively edit manuscripts is not permitted in Re:visit. Only purely technical tools (e.g., spelling and grammar checkers) are allowed, and authors remain fully responsible for the submitted text.
Additional policies
Re:visit follows COPE guidance in handling complaints and appeals, allegations of research misconduct (including plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data fabrication/falsification), and ethical oversight. Where applicable, authors may be asked to provide research materials or data to support transparency and reproducibility. Post-publication discussions, corrections, and retractions are handled by the editorial team in accordance with COPE recommendations.
